Trump-Appointed Frontrunner Robert Smullen Earns Unanimous Herkimer County Republican Committee Endorsement – Continues Consolidating GOP And Conservative Support Across NY-21

HERKIMER COUNTY, New York (February 14, 2026) – Trump-appointed Conservative and Republican frontrunner Robert Smullen today announced he has received the unanimous endorsement of the Herkimer County Republican Committee in his campaign for Congress in New York’s 21st Congressional District.

Smullen is a retired Marine Corps Colonel and Assemblyman representing the 118th District. He was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to the President’s Commission on White House Fellows and is widely recognized as the only true conservative in the race for NY-21.

The Herkimer County Republican Committee unanimous endorsement marks another significant step in Smullen’s effort to unify Republicans and Conservatives across Upstate and the North Country as the frontrunner continues to build momentum.

To date, the frontrunner has earned the endorsement of the following county committees:

  • Essex County Republican Committee
  • Franklin County Republican Committee
  • Hamilton County Republican Committee
  • Warren County Conservative Party
  • Warren County Republican Committee
  • Washington County Republican Committee

In addition, Smullen has been endorsed by the New York State Conservative Party and will appear on the ballot in November as the Conservative Party’s official nominee.

“I am honored to earn the unanimous support of the Herkimer County Republican Committee,” said Smullen. “As the Trump-appointed Republican frontrunner and the only true conservative Republican in this race, I am committed to advancing an Upstate First agenda that secures our border, defends the Second Amendment, backs our law enforcement officers, and fights for the families of Upstate and the North Country. We are uniting Republicans and Conservatives because that is how we win in November.”

Smullen continues to consolidate Republican and Conservative support throughout NY-21 with a campaign rooted in service, strength, and putting Upstate First.

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (May 20, 2026) – The Smullen for Congress campaign is calling attention to yet another piece of violent, anti-Trump merchandise being sold on Anthony Constantino's Sticker Mule marketplace – this time, a sticker depicting a bullet piercing through the "T" in Trump . This sticker is being sold for profit on Constantino's platform less than a month after President Trump survived a third assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 25, when a gunman armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives charged a security checkpoint and shot a Secret Service officer in the chest. "Three times now, someone has tried to kill President Trump. A Secret Service officer took a bullet to the chest protecting the President less than four weeks ago," said Robert Smullen, candidate for Congress in NY-21. "And Anthony Constantino is still making money selling stickers that depict a bullet ripping through the President's name. You cannot claim to support this President while your company profits from imagery that celebrates violence against him." Constantino is not a passive bystander in these sales. Sticker Mule is not a third-party marketplace where outside vendors handle their own fulfillment. Constantino's company prints and ships every piece of merchandise sold on its platform. When a customer orders a sticker depicting a bullet tearing through the name Trump, it is Constantino's employees who print it, Constantino's warehouse that packages it, and Constantino's company that deposits the payment. He is directly responsible for every product that goes out the door. "This is about character. This is about whether the people of NY-21 can trust a man who says one thing on the campaign trail and does the opposite when there's a dollar to be made," Smullen continued. "I spent 24 years in the Marine Corps. I know what it means to stand for something. Anthony Constantino stands for whatever sells." This is the latest in a pattern of troubling merchandise hosted on Constantino's platform, which has also featured antisemitic and anti-police content – all while Constantino seeks the Republican nomination for Congress.

Constantino continues to hide from debates and now was caught lying in his TV ad including a fake Times Union quote pulled from airwaves
May 5, 2026
GLOVERSVILLE, New York (May 5, 2026) – Anthony Constantino, the lifelong registered Democrat in New York's 21st Congressional District Republican primary, once had the nerve to call Robert Smullen – a retired Marine Corps colonel who did three combat tours in Afghanistan – a "f*cking coward." Now, with four separate debate invitations sitting unanswered or rejected, voters across NY-21 are left to decide for themselves who the real coward is. Constantino has declined or failed to confirm participation in the following debates: A joint debate co-hosted by WWNY-TV (Channel 7, Watertown) and WCAX-TV (Channel 3, Plattsburgh); A debate hosted by 100.7 FM in Utica; A debate hosted by The Daily Gazette in Schenectady County; and A debate hosted by CBS6 in Albany — which Constantino has not yet confirmed. Four debates. Four opportunities to stand before the voters of this district and make the case for why he deserves their trust. Four times Anthony Constantino chose to hide. Robert Smullen has accepted every invitation. And if Constantino lacks the backbone to show up, Smullen will take the stage anyway — podium, moderator, and all — and answer for himself what his opponent refuses to. "Anthony Constantino called me a ‘f*cking coward.’ But I've accepted four debate invitations he's run away from,” Smullen said. “The voters of NY-21 deserve a real conversation about the issues that matter to their families, their farms, and their future — not a checkbook candidate hiding from scrutiny. I'll be at every debate. I'll even stand across from an empty podium if that's what it takes. The only question is whether Anthony Constantino has enough respect for the people of New York’s 21st Congressional District to show up. I have one question for Anthony Constantino: who’s the coward now?" Smullen enters the June 23 primary as the clear frontrunner, having earned the endorsements of the New York State Republican Party, the New York State Conservative Party, 12 of 15 county Republican committees across the district, 6 Conservative Party county committees, the Teamsters, the New York State Troopers PBA, and the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association. A retired Marine Corps Colonel and current New York State Assemblyman, Smullen has spent his career serving the constituents of this region – in uniform and in office. Constantino, a first-time candidate who has never held elected office, is currently the subject of an FEC complaint for using his campaign account to prop up his business to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Republicans across NY-21 deserve to hear from their candidates — from Plattsburgh to Johnstown, from Oneida County to Washington County. One candidate is ready. The other is hiding.

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 30, 2026) — Robert Smullen issued the following statement after FOX Business reported on Sticker Mule’s demand that Google cover up Anthony Constantino’s violation of federal campaign finance law. POLITICO previously reported on a Federal Election Commission complaint that showed Constantino’s campaign allegedly using his congressional campaign to promote Sticker Mule business to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. "Wannabe conservative Anthony Constantino is yet again trying to deceive voters into thinking he isn’t to blame for breaking federal law,” Robert Smullen said. “The facts are his campaign was caught breaking federal law for months and to the tune of tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. NY-21 deserves better.”

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 29, 2026) – Robert Smullen, Conservative and Republican candidate for Congress in New York’s 21st District, today announced the release of a new campaign advertisement drawing a sharp contrast between Smullen’s record of service and Anthony Constantino’s background. The ad will run on broadcast television and digital platforms across all four major media markets covering NY-21 – Albany, Plattsburgh, Utica, and Watertown – beginning Wednesday, April 29. The facts of this race are clear, and despite what Anthony Constantino wants you to believe, these are nonetheless the facts: Anthony Constantino is a wannabe rapper and a fake conservative. He’s a lifelong registered Democrat who only registered as a Republican to run for this seat. After the George Floyd riots, his company called police racists and he sold and manufactured kill the police stickers. Supported Democratic Congressman Paul Tonko who voted to impeach President Trump. Sticker mule propped up by anti-Trump organizations who supported impeachment, including the Democratic National Committee, the North Carolina Democratic Party, the Oklahoma Democratic Party, and one never-Trumper who primaried the President in 2020. He’s a fraud and voters in NY-21 know it. “Voters in NY-21 deserve the full picture,” said Smullen. “This race is about trust, service, and standing up for our values. I have spent my life defending this country and backing the men and women who keep our communities safe. I will stand with President Trump, support law enforcement, and deliver for Upstate New York.” The advertisement reinforces contrasts on public safety, party affiliation, and alignment with President Trump’s agenda. It presents Smullen as the proven conservative in the race, endorsed by the New York State Republican Party, the New York State Conservative Party, and the New York State Troopers PBA, with a consistent record of backing the blue and defending Upstate values. Smullen, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel with three combat tours in Afghanistan, continues to build support across NY-21 as voters coalesce around a candidate with a record of service and conservative leadership. GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 15, 2026) – Robert Smullen, Republican and Conservative candidate for Congress in New York’s 21st District, today announced the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 294, a major labor union representing hardworking men and women across Upstate New York. The endorsement underscores Smullen’s record of standing with workers and delivering results for Upstate New York families, earning the trust of one of the region’s most influential labor organizations. “Teamsters support those who support labor, and Bob Smullen has always been there for us,” said Thomas Quackenbush, President and Principal Executive Officer of Teamsters Local 294. “He understands the value of hard work, respects our members, and has consistently stood up for the men and women who keep our economy moving every day.” Notably, Teamsters Local 294’s endorsement comes in contrast to Smullen’s opponent, Anthony Constantino, a business owner whose record includes outsourcing jobs overseas and replacing American workers with automation, including layoffs tied to the installation of roughly 250 robots at his facility as recently as last year. “Anthony Constantino built a business model that ships jobs overseas, replaces workers with machines, and even faced legal issues over how employees were paid,” Smullen said. “That is not how you stand with American workers – and it is not the kind of leadership we need in Congress. We need to be fighting for American jobs, not eliminating them. “I am honored to have the support of the Teamsters, who represent the backbone of our workforce across Upstate New York. These are hardworking men and women who know that strong American jobs, fair wages, and economic growth come from putting our country first.” “President Trump proved that when we stand up for American workers – by bringing jobs home, securing our borders, and putting an end to unfair trade – our economy thrives. The Teamsters understand that. I will take that same America First approach to Congress and fight every day to protect our workers, rebuild our manufacturing base, and ensure that Upstate families come first.” Smullen, a retired Marine Corps Colonel and current Assemblyman, has built a broad coalition of support across NY-21, including veterans, law enforcement, and local leaders. This endorsement further strengthens his standing as the candidate best positioned to unite working families and deliver results in Washington.

In addition, Smullen submitted 881 Conservative Party petition signatures, further underscoring the breadth of his coalition. Combined, nearly 10,000 NY-21 voters signed petitions to put Smullen on the ballot and make clear they want to see him as their next Congressman. “This campaign has always been about the people of Upstate New York,” said Smullen. “Nearly 10,000 voters stepped up, signed their names, and said they want a battle-tested conservative who will fight for them in Washington and stand with President Trump to deliver the America First agenda. I am proud of the thousands of volunteers and supporters across NY-21 who made this possible.” Smullen’s petition effort was powered by a large network of volunteers across all corners of the district, reflecting the campaign’s growing strength and organization heading into the June primary. That momentum is reinforced by a broad and growing coalition of support. Smullen has earned the endorsement of the New York State Republican Party, the New York State Conservative Party, and 12 of the 15 Republican county committees across NY-21, including Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Oneida, St. Lawrence, Warren, Washington, and Clinton counties. He is also endorsed by every Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing the frontline leaders advancing President Trump’s agenda in New York, as well as strong backing from law enforcement and grassroots conservative leaders across the district. With ballot access now secured, the Smullen campaign will continue expanding its grassroots operation and communicating its vision to voters across NY-21 ahead of the June 23 primary.

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 2, 2026) – Assemblyman Robert Smullen today announced the unanimous endorsement of the Clinton County Republican Committee, marking his 12th county committee endorsement out of 15 across New York’s 21st Congressional District and further solidifying his status as the clear frontrunner in the race. Smullen now holds overwhelming institutional support, including endorsements from the New York State Republican Party, the New York State Conservative Party, and every single Republican member of the New York State Assembly – a unified show of strength that no other candidate in the race can match. “This campaign is about standing up for the people of Upstate New York and delivering on the America First agenda that is putting our country back on track,” said Smullen. “I am proud to stand with President Donald J. Trump and fight for secure borders, lower taxes, energy independence, and the constitutional freedoms that make this country great. The voters of NY-21 are sending a clear message – they want a proven conservative fighter, not a self-funded candidate trying to buy a seat in Congress.” The Clinton County endorsement builds on a growing coalition of support across the North Country and Upstate, where Republican leaders are uniting behind Smullen’s record of service, leadership, and results. A retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel with three combat tours in Afghanistan, Smullen has spent his life serving the country and fighting for American values. In Albany, he has taken on one-party rule, defended law enforcement, and consistently delivered for Upstate communities. Now, with overwhelming support from grassroots leaders, elected officials, and party organizations across the district, Smullen is leading a campaign focused on winning in November and advancing President Trump’s America First agenda in Congress.

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 1, 2026) – Assemblyman Robert Smullen today condemned Anthony Constantino for spreading what he called a “sick and depraved” conspiracy theory after antisemitic merchandise was discovered being sold through Constantino’s Sticker Mule marketplace. The product in question featured an offensive cartoon image with the phrase “The Jews Did This” – a vile and unmistakably antisemitic message. While Constantino claims the marketplace allows third-party uploads, the products are manufactured and fulfilled by his company upon purchase. Instead of taking responsibility and committing to stronger safeguards, Constantino falsely accused Smullen of planting the antisemitic content . “This is sick and depraved,” said Smullen. “Anthony Constantino is mentally and morally unfit to represent NY-21. Instead of taking responsibility for what is happening on his own platform, he is pushing dangerous lies and conspiracy theories.” National watchdog group Stop Antisemitism publicly called out the merchandise and tagged major companies that do business with Sticker Mule, including Microsoft, Google, Nike, and Lululemon, raising serious questions about Constantino’s business practices and oversight. Constantino’s response was to claim, without evidence, that Smullen orchestrated the posting of the antisemitic material. “There is zero evidence for this lie because it is completely fabricated,” Smullen added. “Anthony Constantino would rather smear others than answer for the fact that his company produced and sold antisemitic merchandise.” This latest incident adds to a growing pattern of behavior from Constantino, who has repeatedly made false claims and only acted when caught. Public reporting has also raised questions about his business practices and past conduct, including tax issues across multiple states. “Voters in NY-21 deserve serious leadership,” Smullen said. “What we are seeing from Anthony Constantino is reckless, dishonest, and beneath the office he is seeking.”
March 30, 2026
GLOVERSVILLE, New York (March 30, 2026) – Following reporting from POLITICO on a formal complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission , 21st Congressional District Conservative Republican candidate Robert Smullen said the filing makes clear that Anthony Constantino broke federal campaign finance law and is calling on him to immediately withdraw from the race for Congress. According to the complaint, Constantino and his campaign committee used campaign funds to promote his personal business, Sticker Mule – a direct violation of the Federal Election Campaign Act. The filing outlines that advertisements paid for by “Constantino for Congress” promoted Sticker Mule products and services rather than legitimate campaign activity and were funded through campaign accounts – a direct violation of federal campaign finance law. The complaint further documents that Constantino’s campaign spent between approximately $368,600 and $422,800 on these advertisements through Google’s platform. Additionally, the complaint states that Constantino accepted at least 1,200 orders for campaign-related merchandise through his personal business without properly reporting the revenue as required under federal law. “The facts in this complaint are clear. Anthony Constantino repeatedly broke the law,” said Robert Smullen. “He used campaign funds to benefit his own business and failed to properly report campaign activity. That is corruption, plain and simple.” “Running for Congress is serious business, anyone who thinks the law does not apply to them or is in this to enrich themselves, is not fit to serve in Congress. Based on these facts, Anthony Constantino should drop out of this race immediately.” Smullen emphasized that voters in NY-21 deserve leadership grounded in integrity and accountability. The complaint calls on the FEC to conduct a formal investigation and take appropriate action.
