Lifelong Democrat Anthony Constantino Spends Millions to Spread Lies Because He Cannot Run on His Own Record

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (May 26, 2026) – After pouring more than $7 million of his own money into a failing campaign, lifelong Democrat Anthony Constantino has launched a defamatory website attacking retired Marine Colonel Robert Smullen – a desperate attempt to distract voters from the most disqualifying record of any Republican candidate in the country.

Every claim on Constantino's website is false and defamatory. This is not opposition research. It is a multi-million-dollar disinformation campaign funded by a man who cannot win a Republican primary on his own merits and has chosen to buy one instead.

He has refused five invitations to debate because he cannot defend his record in public. Anthony Constantino is a lifelong Democrat who only registered as a Republican to run for this seat.
He is dangerously anti-police: He praised the George Floyd riots that burned cities to the ground while calling our cops racists, murderers and called for them to be fired without cause. His website also sold a sticker that read "KILL THE POLICE." These are not the values of NY-21 – and they are certainly not the values of a Republican.
He sold antisemitic and anti-police merchandise through his company, Sticker Mule. A sticker reading "The Jews Did This" was sold on his platform and appeared at a gas station in Ohio. It was only removed after the organization StopAntisemitism called it out publicly. He is a lifelong Democrat running as a Republican. Constantino's own voter registration history confirms years of Democratic Party enrollment. His business organizations have deep ties to Democratic donors and causes.
He had tax liens in Kansas, Ohio, and Wyoming – a troubling pattern for someone asking voters to trust him with federal tax policy. This is a fact never retracted by Robert Smullen’s campaign despite Constantino falsely claiming so.
