Warren County Republican Committee Endorses Robert Smullen for Congress

WARREN COUNTY, New York (January 29, 2026) – The Warren County Republican Committee has voted to endorse Robert Smullen in his campaign for Congress in New York’s 21st Congressional District, marking a unified show of support from both Warren County Republican and Conservative Party organizations as Republicans rally behind an Upstate First, America First candidate.

Robert is the only candidate in the race endorsed by Republican and Conservative committees in NY-21.

Earlier, the Warren County Conservative Party endorsed Smullen’s campaign, and tonight’s Republican Committee endorsement underscores growing unity across local party lines behind Smullen’s conservative values, strong support for President Donald Trump’s America First agenda, and commitment to fighting for Upstate New York.

The Warren County GOP’s endorsement reflects Smullen’s consistent record of standing with Republican and MAGA principles – defending the Second Amendment, backing law enforcement, securing both the northern and southern borders, and pushing back against the failed one-party policies coming out of Albany that continue to drive up costs and hurt Upstate families.

As a combat-tested Marine Corps Colonel and current Assemblyman, Smullen has built a reputation as a conservative who does not bend under pressure. He has repeatedly taken on the political establishment in New York State to defend constitutional rights, protect rural communities, and advance policies that keep families, jobs, and opportunity right here in Upstate New York.

The Warren County endorsement adds to a growing list of support across NY-21. Smullen has secured unanimous Republican Committee endorsements in Essex, Franklin, and Hamilton counties, the unanimous endorsement of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors, the unanimous endorsement of the Herkimer County Legislature Republican Caucus, and the backing of both the Republican and Conservative parties in Warren County. He has also earned the support of dozens of elected state and local leaders throughout the district.

“Seeing Warren County Republicans come together behind this campaign sends a powerful message,” Smullen said. “Republicans want a Congressman who will fight for President Trump’s America First agenda, secure our borders – north and south – defend the Second Amendment, and put policies in place that keep families and jobs right here in Upstate New York. I’m proud to have the support of the Warren County Republican Committee, and I’m ready to take that fight to Congress.”

With each new endorsement, Smullen continues to consolidate support among Republican voters who want a proven conservative leader and Marine veteran representing NY-21 in Congress.

Smullen is currently running for Congress in NY-21 and is campaigning across the district to earn the support of Republicans ahead of the GOP primary.
