Smullen Earns St. Lawrence County Conservative Party Endorsement; Essex County Conservative Party Unanimously Backs Campaign

CANTON, New York (February 23, 2026) – Assemblyman Robert Smullen today announced he has received the endorsement of the St. Lawrence County Conservative Party and the unanimous endorsement of the Essex County Conservative Party in his campaign for Congress in New York's 21st Congressional District.

The dual endorsements further solidify Smullen’s position as the conservative standard-bearer in the race and reinforce growing support across the North Country and Upstate New York.

“I am honored to have the support of the Conservative Party in both St. Lawrence and Essex Counties,” said Smullen. “Upstate and North Country Conservatives understand what is at stake in this election. We need strong, consistent conservative leadership in Washington that will secure the border, protect the Second Amendment, support law enforcement, stand with President Trump and advance his America First agenda, and put Upstate New York first.”

Smullen, a retired Marine Corps Colonel and Chairman of the Assembly Republican Conference, has built his campaign around a clear record of conservative leadership in Albany. He is the presumptive nominee of the New York State Conservative Party and will appear on the ballot in November.

Throughout his time in the State Assembly, Smullen has fought to defend constitutional rights, oppose reckless spending, back the blue, and push back against mandates that hurt Upstate families, farmers, and small businesses. His campaign continues to earn support from grassroots conservatives who want a proven leader with a record of service and results.
