Smullen Campaign Launches First TV Ad Exposing Constantino’s Record and Unfitness for Office and Showcasing the Real Conservative in the Race

GLOVERSVILLE, New York – Assemblyman Robert Smullen today released his first TV advertisement of the NY-21 Republican primary, drawing a sharp contrast between Smullen’s record of military service and conservative leadership and Anthony Constantino’s record of instability, opportunism, and poor judgment.

The advertisement highlights Smullen’s 24 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, including three tours in Afghanistan, and his appointment by President Donald J. Trump to continue serving his country on the President’s Commission on White House Fellows. It contrasts that record of service with Constantino’s history of registering as a Democrat, failing to participate in Republican primaries, and profiting from merchandise sold by his company that has included anti-Trump, anti-police, and pro-trans messaging.

The ad makes clear that while Smullen was serving his country in uniform and later appointed by President Trump to continue serving, Constantino was building a business that has cashed in on political controversy, including content hostile to law enforcement and conservative values.

“Republican voters deserve a candidate who has stood with President Trump, backed the blue, and defended our values,” Smullen said. “I served this country as a Marine, and I was appointed by President Trump to continue serving our nation. I have consistently fought for conservative principles. My opponent has profited from attacking them.”

Smullen is the only Republican candidate endorsed in the race and the only candidate endorsed by the New York State Conservative Party.

“This race is about trust and character,” Smullen said. “Upstate families deserve a representative who has earned the right to serve. I am running to put Upstate First and take our conservative fight to Washington.”

The advertisement begins airing immediately across the district.
