Smullen Announces Endorsement from Teamsters Local 294, Highlighting Strong Support from Working Men and Women Across NY-21

GLOVERSVILLE, New York (April 15, 2026) – Robert Smullen, Republican and Conservative candidate for Congress in New York’s 21st District, today announced the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 294, a major labor union representing hardworking men and women across Upstate New York.

The endorsement underscores Smullen’s record of standing with workers and delivering results for Upstate New York families, earning the trust of one of the region’s most influential labor organizations.

Notably, Teamsters Local 294’s endorsement comes in contrast to Smullen’s opponent, Anthony Constantino, a business owner whose record includes outsourcing jobs overseas and replacing American workers with automation, including layoffs tied to the installation of roughly 250 robots at his facility as recently as last year.

“Anthony Constantino built a business model that ships jobs overseas, replaces workers with machines, and even faced legal issues over how employees were paid,” Smullen said. “That is not how you stand with American workers – and it is not the kind of leadership we need in Congress.
