Lewis & Schoharie County Republican Committees Endorse Robert Smullen for Congress in NY-21

SCHOHARIE COUNTY, New York (February 24, 2026) – The Lewis and Schoharie County Republican Committees endorsed Assemblyman Robert Smullen for Congress in New York’s 21st District on Monday night. The vote of the Lewis County Republican Committee was unanimous. With the two endorsements Monday, Smullen has now received the endorsement of 10 Republican committees that make up the 15-county 21st Congressional District.


To date, Smullen has earned endorsements from 10 of the 15 county GOP Committees in NY-21 representing over 66% of the weighted vote.


Smullen is a retired Marine Corps Colonel who served 24 years in uniform, including three combat tours in Afghanistan. Donald J. Trump appointed Smullen to continue serving his country on the President’s Commission on White House Fellows. Smullen currently serves as Chairman of the Assembly Republican Conference in Albany.


“Lewis and Schoharie County Republicans know this is a defining moment for our country,” Smullen said. “I have never backed down from the woke left in Albany, and I will not back down from them in Washington. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump to secure the border, restore energy independence, protect our Second Amendment rights, and put American families first.”


Smullen is the presumptive nominee of the New York State Conservative Party and will appear on the ballot in November.
