Hamilton County GOP Committee and Board of Supervisors Unanimously Endorse Smullen for Congress
HAMILTON COUNTY, New York – The Hamilton County Republican Committee unanimously endorsed Assemblyman Robert Smullen in his campaign for Congress in New York’s 21st Congressional District, citing his strong conservative record and commitment to President Donald Trump’s America First agenda.
In a further show of broad countywide support, the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors also voted unanimously to endorse Smullen’s campaign, reflecting confidence in his leadership, experience, and dedication to representing rural Upstate New York in Washington.
The unanimous Hamilton County endorsements follow Smullen’s recent unanimous endorsements from the Essex County and Franklin County Republican Committees, underscoring growing momentum and widespread grassroots and institutional support across the Adirondacks and the North Country.
Hamilton County Republican leaders said they are backing Smullen because they want an America First Republican in Congress who will stand with President Trump, secure the border, restore energy independence, and fight for rural communities that have too often been overlooked by Washington. Local leaders also pointed to Smullen’s military service, conservative credentials, and proven record of delivering results for Upstate New York as key reasons for their endorsements.
“Having the unanimous support of Hamilton County Republicans and the Board of Supervisors is deeply meaningful to me,” Smullen said. “Hamilton County represents the heart of the Adirondacks and the values that make Upstate New York strong – independence, hard work, and love of country. I’m proud to be an America First Republican, and I will always stand with President Trump and the people of this district.”
Smullen is a retired Marine Corps Colonel, a three-term Assemblyman, and a native Upstate New Yorker who represents communities across the Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks. In Albany, he has built a reputation for standing up to Albany Democrats, defending constitutional freedoms, supporting law enforcement, opposing reckless spending, and pushing back against radical mandates that hurt rural families and small businesses.

With unanimous endorsements secured in Essex and Franklin counties, and now the unanimous Hamilton County endorsements, Smullen continues to consolidate support across NY-21 as Republican voters rally behind an Upstate First candidate with the experience and backbone to fight – and win – in Washington.
