Fulton County Republican Committee Overwhelmingly Endorses Assemblyman Robert Smullen for Congress in NY-21

JOHNSTOWN, New York (February 18, 2026) – The Fulton County Republican Committee has overwhelmingly endorsed Assemblyman Robert Smullen in his campaign for Congress in New York’s 21st Congressional District.

With this endorsement, Smullen continues to build strong support across the district as the only Republican-endorsed candidate and the presumptive nominee of the New York State Conservative Party. He will appear on the ballot in November on the Conservative Party line.

Smullen, who represents the 118th Assembly District and lives in Fulton County with his wife and children, said he is honored to have the support of Republicans in his home county.

“I am grateful for the trust and confidence of the Fulton County Republican Committee,” Smullen said. “I have always fought for Upstate families in Albany, and I am ready to take that fight to Washington. I will work with President Trump and his America First agenda to secure our border, cut taxes, strengthen our military, and put Upstate First.”

Smullen is a retired Marine Corps Colonel who served 24 years on active duty, including three combat tours in Afghanistan. He was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to serve on the President’s Commission on White House Fellows, continuing his service to the nation. Since being elected to the Assembly in 2018, he has been a leading voice for constitutional rights, public safety, and fiscal responsibility.
